Is the 106 mpg Air Car for real?

Zero Pollution Motors says they will be bringing a car to the US, by 2010, that will achieve 106 mpgs. Using an idea developed by an F1 race car engineer, the six piston Air Car will use comressed air instead of gasoline combustion.

While driving slowly, it will run completely by air from the tank, and have zero emissions. When speeds get higher, it will use some gasoline to heat the air, causing more pressure to get that higher speed. With 8 gallons of gas, the air car should be able to go 848 miles.

The body is made of foam and fiberglass. With the light weight, it will be able to reach a top speed of 96 mph, at about 75 hp.
